Ps3 Movies

Ok, so the PS3 must be fairly user freindly. We picked up a blu-ray movie last night at blockbuster (yes, they were open on Xmas day), to test out the features of the ps3.

The wife called me at work today and I was able to walk her through how to turn on the ps3 and eject the game, insert the movie, and play the movie....so chalk one up for user-freindliness!

p.s. the movie itself, surfs-up, just seems like a normal movie so far. As I mentioned earlier, looking forward to getting that HDMI cable!

Game systems mania

So it's official now. As of 12/25/2007 I own every major gaming system on the market.

xbox 360
ps3
wii
psp
ds
xbox
ps2

The most recent addition is the PS3, which at the moment I've only had a chance to play one game on. My only real complaint with it so far is that you'd think for $500 (80 gb verison), they could include the HDMI cable, which probably costs them around $1 to make. However, NOOO....I have to go to the store and pay an extra $40 for the cable to get the full effect of it.

Ah well, since the system itself was a gift, I suppose I can shell out the money for the cable on my own...I've got to get good use out of my HDTV and the analog plugs just won't do. They just won't do at all!

New colors

Ok, first things first. I hate the template that I chose to start with....it was a baby-vomit green. Reminds me of...well...nevermind. I hope this blue works better.

A new day

So here we are at last. After many years of browsing the internet (I'm talking - I would surf when the concept of GUI was just that...a concept), I've finally started a blog. Why, you ask? The reason is simple...I want to prove I know what I'm talking about. Over the coming days/months/years/whatevers/I'll ramble on about some of the following topics:
1) China
2) Video games
3) Work
4) School

I'll probably leave my family out of it, as they don't particularly like the concept of blogging...that idea of airing out your thoughts for all the world to see like so much dirty laundry on the back line. But you know what? That's ok. I can respect that. But I want to treat this blog more like an art show - a way to showcase my ideas, my thoughts, my dreams.

We'll see how things go.
